Calendar
The SocialHalwa calendar is your content planning home. It shows scheduled posts alongside festivals and holidays so you can plan content that resonates with your audience.
Views
Switch between three calendar views using the tabs at the top:
Month view
See the whole month at a glance. Each day shows:
- A coloured dot for each scheduled post (one dot per account).
- A festival strip across the top of the day cell for holidays and festivals.
- Click any day to open a sidebar with that day's posts.
Week view
A 7-day detailed view. Posts appear as full-height cards in their time slot. Best for fine-tuning the timing of posts across a busy week.
List view
A chronological list of all upcoming posts, grouped by date. Ideal for reviewing what's scheduled without the visual noise of a grid. Today's row always appears even when empty — with a + New post shortcut.
Navigating the calendar
- Use the ← → arrows to move backwards and forwards in time.
- Click Today to jump back to the current date.
- The date range shown in the header updates as you navigate.
Festival overlay
SocialHalwa includes a built-in festival calendar covering:
- National holidays — Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti, etc.
- Religious festivals — Diwali, Eid, Christmas, Holi, Navratri, Onam, Pongal, Gurpurab, and many more.
- Regional occasions — Gudi Padwa, Bihu, Ugadi, Vishu, etc.
Festivals appear as a coloured strip above the calendar grid — not cluttering day cells. The colour of the strip indicates the category:
- 🟠 Orange — major national/multi-faith festivals
- 🟢 Green — religious festivals
- 🔵 Blue — national holidays and civic observances
- 🟣 Purple — regional festivals
Hover over a festival to see its full name and date range.
Best times to post
Click Best times in the calendar toolbar to see a heatmap overlay on the week view. This shows when audiences are most active on Instagram and LinkedIn — based on IST timezone data.
The overlay is a guide, not a rule. Your own audience's analytics (available in the platform's native apps) should inform your final timing decisions.
Density modes
Use the Density toggle to switch between:
- Comfortable — more spacing, easier to scan.
- Compact — see more posts per view, less whitespace.
Your density preference is remembered across sessions.
Creating a post from the calendar
Click any empty day or time slot to open the composer pre-filled with that date and time. This is the fastest way to fill gaps in your content schedule.
Account filters
Use the account filter chips (Instagram, LinkedIn) in the top toolbar to show only posts for a specific platform. Useful when planning platform-specific campaigns.
